Polar bears, Ursus maritimus, which means "sea bear". Males sharing a seal kill.

Polar bear, Ursus maritimus, which means "sea bear". A group of large male Polar Bears make an unexpected seal kill on the ice floes in Hudson Bay. It is unusual for Harp Seals to venture here. As the bears have been fasting for 8 months they are eager to eat this unexpected windfall while they are waiting for Hudson Bay to freeze so that they can hunt through the winter. Ravens clean up scraps. Canada, Manitoba, North America, Churchill, Polar Bear Point, Wapusk National Park .
