Michaell Cornhill neare the place where it formerly stood andthat the Wardens, Mr Heygate and M1, Bateman doe take care tosee the same performed. This monument, which has been movedfrom its original position, north of the Communion Table, intothe north aisle, bears the following inscription : 66 To the pious Memory of Mr. John Vernon, late a worthyMember of the Worshipful Company of Merchant 1 No date is filled in.
