storm waves breaching the sea defences at Happisburgh, Norfolk, UK

Happisburgh on the North Norfolk coast is the most rapidly eroding point on the british Isles. Eroding since Roman times, global warming has caused sea level rise and increased stormy weather, accelerating the rate of erosion. already a number of properties have been washed into the sea, and others are left without protection and perilously close to the edge.
