By a mistake in drawing this upon the wood,the cleft in the alveolus shows on the right side, * I have not seen this case (a hospital patient) since 1871. 171 whereas, it was really on the left, as most of themare. >»It will be seen that I have improved on themanner in which the hard and soft rubber portionsare united together, by giving a continuous flushsurface to them, instead of allowing the hardrubber to present a prominent ridge in the centreof the palate.
