Inaddition to the main stream this lough also receives a feeder thatcomes from Lough Ardrhiidbi-g and Lough Anullen, into bothof which a few sea-lrout run. The Derrvdruel River, and thechain of loughs on it are equal, many anglers think superior, tothe Dungloe chain, and so far as extent and variety of fishing isconcerned they are (Xrtainly to be preferred. But they are notso accessible, and the loughs lack a sufficient number of River lies from three to four miles south of Dungloe, and. ROSSES AND GWEEBARRA. 93 the best way to cover it is to drive to Derrvdruel Bridge andfish right up, returning in the evening from the upper reaches Iron Bridge where a car should be in waiting by arrange-ment. Nearly a score of lakes are included on this chain, and thebulk of them are reached by car on the Fintown road, the averagedistance from Dungloe being five miles. Nearly half of thelakes hold sea-trout and the chief of these are Namurrig,Gannivegal, Nabrackmore and Nillan.
