The newly restored Georgian Cottage within the grounds of the Royal Botanic gardens, Edinburgh.

The newly restored Georgian Cottage within the grounds of the Royal Botanic gardens, Edinburgh. The Georgian Cottage, Royal Botanical Gardens. In a unique effort to preserve this historic building, the Georgian cottage, which once stood on the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s historic site on Leith Walk, was uprooted stone by stone, carefully numbered, transported and stored, and reconstructed at RBGE’s current site in Inverleith. 250 years later, the 18th century Cottage will once again be a centre for community and education work in the Garden and used by a wide range of school and community groups.
