A prototype vehicle of the Shielder VLSMS (Vehicle Launched Scatterable Mine System) that saw action with the 1st Field Squadron in the First Gulf War. The vehicle is based on the Alvis Stormer chassis and is equipped with aft deck mine launchers that allow the crew of two to swiftly scatter up to 120 mines to deny the mobility of hostile forces. To prevent future injury to civilians once a conflict has ended, each mine is programmed to self-destruct after they have exceeded their tactical value.
