Beautiful fireworks at the Qrendi, Malta village feast in August

Organised by the St Mary Fireworks Factory of Qrendi, the fireworks display is held on the eve of the Feast of St Mary in Qrendi, Malta. Village feasts are a cultural mainstay in Malta, and outside celebrations include processions, brass bands, and fireworks, drawing both locals as well as foreigners to the feasts. Seen here is the Qrendi church and village lit up for the feast (with the Mdina cathedral lit up in the background), while colourful fireworks exploded above in the sky.
