A Gothic love token casket, France, 15th century Rectangular wooden body (small restoration on the left rim of the lid) covered with tooled leather. Surrounded by finely made, riveted iron bands with floral decoration. On the front the original hasp and integral lock (key missing), with two additional hasps on either side, but the padlock-loops missing. Moveable carrying handles on the sides (one missing).
