Anthony Mario Ludovici (1882-1971), British philosopher and social critic. Ludovici was fluent in several languages and wrote widely on topics such as art, metaphysics, politics, economics and religion. In the sciences, he wrote on the differences between the sexes, race and eugenics, generally taking a conservative view. His works include 'A Defence of Aristocracy' (1915) and 'The False Assumptions of Democracy' (1921). He was a member of the anti-semitic fascist group 'The Right Club', leading to his dismissal in 1940 from his work for British military intelligence.
