The view taken in 1828, shows the stables constructed on land owned by the king at the corner of Rue Neuve-de-Beri and Faubourg du Roule. The king, Charles X when Count d’Artois, purchased the land. The architect was M Bellanger. The image was drawn by T Nash under the direction of A Pugin and engraved by M S Barrenger
