Keichosaurus is a genus of marine reptile in the pachypleurosaur family that became extinct during the Triassic - Jurassic period. Keichosaurus Hui was a small aquatic reptile that lived in swamps and marshes of the Guizhou province in China. They were fast swimmers that could also crawl over land. They had sharp teeth and fed mainly on small fish. There is evidence that Keichosaurus gave birth to live young, rather than lay eggs. They are among the most common sauropterygian fossils known. And thanks to complete skeletons often recovered specimens are a popular collectors fossil.
