SOJTF-OIR conducted a re-patching ceremony to replace the interim 1st Special Forces Group unit patch previously worn in Southwest Asia. The spearhead itself represents special forces as being “the tip of the spear.” SOJTF-OIR is the special operations commander subordinate to the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
