The backbone of the entire Toronto system is theQueen Street line, extending from the extreme eastern tothe extreme western part of the city, a distance of overeight miles (and of thirteen miles including the Toronto& Mimico extension). Yonge Street is the important northand south Imsiness thoroughfare of the city, and intothis street turn the cars of many of the other lines. Theprincipal business district is bounded by Front, Sher-bourne. College and McCall Streets, and to this sectioncome nearly all the cars of the city.
