Flammescit Uterque, Coat of Arms at Ghent Belfry.

GENT, BELGIUM - CIRCA MARCH 2014: Coat of Arms at Ghent Belfry. The slogan reads in Latin "they both burn." Laurel branches clashed together produce a flame, says legend. It also reminds us of St. Andrews cross, and the Burgondian kings, who once ruled Flanders, had it as a coat of arms. The second slogan, praetium non vile laborum, means "no cheap rewards for our labors" and is the slogan of the Order of the Gulden Fleece.
