Thomas, he organized acompany, which was mustered into the service as Com-pany II of the Third Pennsylvania Reserves and theThirty-second Pennsylvania Volunteers ; Dr. Thomasbeing elected captain and P. F. Fisher first lieutenant. In August, 1861, Lieutenant Fisher was directed toreport to Major Albert J. Myer, signal officer, UnitedStates Army, for signal duty.
