Misplacement due to con- fusion with another place called Bakossi in eastern Cameroun. Map 296. Apus pallidus superspecies. The isolated Congo record of A. niansae (specimen in Philadelphia) needs further study. It would be better to compare the specimen with other swifts once again. Map 325.
