JlLV 19, HUNTS- FARM NOTES -WHEAT POOR—SPBIMG BEANS THECROP Hay harvest is at a standstill owing to tlie verywet weather. Hay, on the average, is very light, itoots are a complete failure in manv placesowing to the very dry weather in May and Jxme. Spring beans are doing well, being the bestcrop we have. Wheat is thin in many places, promising not more than tliree or four sacks tothe acre. Oats hav^ improved very much as wehave had some nice rains, well soaking the and making good tilths. I may add thatwinter beans are about an average crop. The heavy rain during the last week or twohas filled up the cracks on our heavy grass lands, ihe stock are doing well. The fallows have beentoo hard and dry for the tractors to do muchwork until now. I think with a little fineweather now we shall finish up fairlv wellJ»l>13. J. J. p l ul bish.
