The drivers, starting tothe right rear of the guns, push thebirds along the opposite face. The birds will not leave the moor, sothey take across the head of the valley,settling about the points X, X. Thedrivers push their right round the edgeof the moor, till they at length reachthe formation shown in Fig. 2, fromwhence the second flight of the birdsleads them directly to the butts. The second diagram illustrates howsome outstanding features in the centreof the moor may profitably be turned toaccount. This may be called the swing drive, and is a pretty effort in
