Temple of Hercules Victor or Hercules Olivariusi in Rome


The Temple of Hercules Victor or Hercules Olivarius, situated in the Forum Boarium in Rome. Sometimes mistaken to be a temple to Vesta, a Greek virgin goddess of of the home, it dates from around 120 It is the earliest surving marble building in Rome and consists of 20 concentric Corinthian columns built on a tufa foundation.
