A pro-Scottish independence supporter (left) argues with a political opponent at a No Thanks anti-Scottish independence event in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh. The event was part of the '100 Towns in 100 Days' tour at which British Labour Party politician Jim Murphy MP spoke to boost the message of the pro-union Better Together campaign. On the 18th of September 2014, the people of Scotland voted in a referendum to decide whether the union should continue or Scotland should become an independent nation once again and leave the United Kingdom.
