Car Accident - Clayton Brook Road - Westwood Road Junction, Clayton le Woods, Chorley
At approx. today (30th Nov.) a white van overshot the junction with Westwood Road and almost disappeared into the hedgerow opposite. Emergency services responded with numerous vehicles including the G-HEMN air ambulance. The only casualty appeared to be the driver of the van, but this has not been confirmed. At this time of day parents are arriving early to collect their children from one of the two primary schools that are situated on Westwood Road. The Air ambulance landing in the field adjacent to St Bede's Primary School, providing the pupils with a late afternoon excitement.
