A veteran salutes during the playing of the National Anthem at the Beaufort Memorial Day Ceremony at Battery Creek High School May 28. The ceremony was held to recognize the sacrifices made by service members throughout history. Air Force Maj. Gen. (ret.) Harold Mitchell was the keynote speaker and delivered the Memorial Day Address for the ceremony. Leadership from the tri-command as well as active duty personnel and veterans were all in attendance for the ceremony.
