Small wine pot or teapot, 1662–1722, Chinese, Porcelain painted in underglaze blue., Height: 2 1/8 in. ( cm.), Ceramics, Chinese, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period, This small, squat, pear-shaped pot has an eared handle and a curved spout. A design of flowers and rocks is painted on either side. The quality of the blue is unusually good for wares of this type; indeed, it approximates the blue seen in mid-sixteenth-century Chinese porcelains
