At Klausenhach the train crosses the Aschauer or Reitner Ache(N., the Kaisergebirge, p. 175), and soon passes the Schwarzsee onthe left (station). It next crosses the Kitzbiihler Ache and the PassThurn road, and reaches — 22 M. Kitzhiihel (2420; *Tiefenhrunner or Post; ^Hinterhrdu;Stern; Rossi; Hechenberger; Haas^ at the station; Schwarzer Adler,moderate; Oberaigner; Beer Garden, opposite the station; furnishedrooms at FrauStainers, Pirchls, etc.), a small town (SOOOinhah.),charmingly situated on the Kitzbiihler Ache, and much frequentedfor summer-quarters. About ^/^ M. to the S. is the Kitzbiihler Bad(inexpensive), with a chalybeate spring. Excursions. Pleasant walk to the N. E. to (1/2 hr.) the Griesenau^with a good view of the Kaisergebirge ; to (3/4 hr.) the Ebnerkapelle^with a fine view of the Venediger, thence by a new path through thewoods to (V4 hr.) the Schleier Fall (veil-falF), in the Koglergrahen, andback through the Zephivau to (1 hr.)
