Oban Youth Cafe

The Oban Youth Cafe is a project in the centre of Oban started in November 2000 to give young people 'a place of their own' in the town. The cafe operates 'drop-in sessions' open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 18 to play pool, use the internet, etc. The project also runs group-work sessions focusing on social issues such as self-esteem and alcohol misuse and arranges group trips in the surrounding area.
