A cased pair of splendid percussion pistols, Lebeda in Prague, circa 1840. Octagonal, slightly swamped, rifled barrels in 12 mm calibre. Dovetailed, blued front sights with rear sights adjustable for elevation on the tangs. The tops of the barrels bear the signature: " Lebeda v Praze" inlaid in gold between fine vine work inlaid in gold and silver. The snails, tangs, locks, side plates, and all the furniture also display fine vine engraving and inlays in gold and silver.
