Colloid Cyst
This digitally altered sagittal (lateral side-view) MRI image through the center of the brain shows a rounded green structure with a lighter green glow. This green structure represents a colloid cyst, an abnormality located in the superior anterior part of the third ventricle of the brain. Ventricles are the fluid filled cavities in the brain which contain cerebral spinal fluid (CSF). Colloid cysts are benign brain lesions that, on account of their location, can block the flow of CSF, leading to headaches and even sudden death.
