Visitors in the main shopping street in the old German pioneer town of Hahndorf in the wine growing Adelaide Hills, some 25km from the city of Adelaide in South Australia. Hahndorf is Australia's oldest German settlement when Lutheran migrants settled in the town in the 19th-century. It is known for its original German, mainly Bavarian styled architecture and artisanal food. It is a very popular tourist attraction with its variety of arts and crafts shops, eateries, souvenirs and its locally produced wines.
