Hydrosalpinx. Coloured coronal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the abdomen of a 35-year-old woman, with the reproductive organs highlighted (white). This patient has a hydrosalpinx, a fluid-filled swelling of her left fallopian tube (centre right). She has also had her left ovary removed (ovariectomy), shown by the absence of a white area at centre left. This is a T2 sequence MRI, with fat saturation and use of gadolinium contrast medium.
