It was stated at that time by Mr. Haeger, who has been in business in Chattanooga for many years, that the formation of the company meant the consolidation of his retail business with the Johnston Floral Co., which has been doing business on East Eighth street. Mr. Spence purchased the interest of Joseph S. Mitchell in the Johnston Floral Co. about May 15, but the new company will continue to do business at the same stand. L. J. Spence is in charge of the two stores, which the new company took charge of June 1, and Mr. Haeger is retiring from active work in the retail business. The Haeger green- houses, located in North Chattanooga, have been leased for a term of years to D. A. McAmis and Mr. Haeger will de- vote all of his time in the future to his extensive nursery, located on Walden's ridge. Greenwood, Miss. — The Greenwood Floral Co., of which J. W, Bealle & Sons are proprietors, has recently com- pleted a handsome store and office at its establishment on Henry street and has under construction an additional greenhouse, 21x130 feet.
