The whole of the upper plumage is composed of duskyrufous brown and grey, the brown predominates on the upperparts ; the ground colours of the under plumage are ochreyellow and grey, with square dusky spots in the centre ofsome of the feathers, and largest on the breast; these arecrossed by narrow waving lines ; the quills are transverselybarred with yellowish white and brown.
