Athletics from the standpoint of developinga few for representative teams does not and cannot meet the need that the comityhas in preparing the youth for future life and service. The great number ofcandidates refused for the militia because of physical defects is the best criticismof the old system. Naturally the old method of having representative teams hasits good points, anfl in order to keep these and also add an insentive to those inth groups we have retained the representative
