Great Dane draped in the Catalan Independence flag on National Catalonia day which is celebrated on September 11th. This year Catalans were called to form a human chain stretching from the border with France to Valencia as a political statement about their desire for Independence from Spain. Hundreds of thousands of Catalans and their dogs turned up for the televised event wearing and waving shiny new flags.
