France, Meuse, Lorraine regional parc, Cotes de Meuse, Montsec, Butte de Montsec, Montsec war memorial produced by sculptor Egerton Swarthout, built with Euville limestone in 1930, commemorates the attacks carried out by the American Army from 12 to 14 September 1918 and from 9 to 11 November 1918 to take the St. Mihiel salient. At the centre of the colonnade is a bronze map illustrating the location of the St. Mihiel salient fronts.
