Leaves medium green, crumpled, straight on the borders. Head of medium size, round, solid, with buttery interior of excellent quality. A dependable header under various weather conditions. Shotwell's Brown Head, b. s Very similar to Crisp as Ice, but with slightly lighter brown color. TENNISBALL, b. s Same as Salamander. A dependable header under varying growing conditions. Heads medium sized, round, firm, and buttery; leaves medium green, broad, and crumpled; of excellent quality. Tennisball, w. s. m Also known as Boston Market. Distinctly a forcing variety, with medium sized, solid, round head; interior buttery, and of delicate flavor; leaves crumpled and blistered, medium green, lightly tinged with brown.
