A cone geyser with intervals and durations of seconds. Boiling builds to a dome, erupts in a spray to 15 ft high, then repeats.
Pump Geyser is in the Geyser Hill Complex and erupts almost constantly making splashes up to 15 feet high. Water is constantly boiling with thumping, depositing more sinter around the semicircular vent which is colorful from the activities of the cyanobacteria present. It gets its name because its constant eruptions make a sound similar to that of old style mechanical pump. It may have also been confused for a different geyser called the Pump, when the other one went extinct.
