Travelling medicine man at Patan Durbar Square in Nepal
This man arrived by pushbike and set up his wares in Patan Durbar Square the world heritage site next door to Kathmandu In the bottles were preserved specimens of various intestinal worms and parasites He talked non stop and kept his patter going to an interested crowd A probable stooge among the onlookers showed some interest but I saw no buyers while I was watching He was selling small boxes that contained either pills or powders and made gestures towards the bottom that suggested where the creatures would emerge once his medicinal potions had been taken This was taken at dawn in May 2005 before the backpackers tourists and tour groups arrive for the day to see the temples
