The arrival of the Sievers peo- ple on that street makes it a florists' row, as there are already five shops within four blocks. W. A. H. TACOMA, WASH. The Market. The weather last week was some- what cooler, with bright days, which had a tendency to force the chrysan- themums along, and now we are fairly in the midst of a glut of these flow- ers. The mums are of excellent qual- ity; some extra fine specimens of Mrs. David Syme, Chrysolora and Sisowath have recently been noted. Carnations are of excellent quality, but the sup- ply is far short of the demand. Home- grown violets are selling well; so are roses, but there is nothing like enough of either of these flowers to fill the demand. Various Notes. Several of the florists visited Henry Benthien on Sunday, October 26. A fine dining room table was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Benthien by the vis- itors, on behalf of the Florists' Club. The next regular meeting of the Florists' Club will be held November 20. J. L. S. SEATTLE, WASH. The Market. The stores are all crowded with chysanthemums, which are moving well, and business along all lines is good. The recent fine weather has helped trade and the retailers have had their hands full. Carnations are loos- ening up a little, but there are not half enough for the demand so far. Roses are of good quality and are selling as fast as they are received. California violets are poor, and there is little local sto
