SVFER-GIAIMT TRITIMPET NARCISSUS In England the production of new Narcissus has been a 'craze' for a number of years, and many of the new seedlings are offered at prices ranging from $ to $ or more for a single bulb. The advanced Daffodil connoisseur may consider they are worth the price asked, but we feel sure that for general use it is only those varieties which have the strength and vigor to reproduce themselves freely, and which makes it possible to offer them at a reasonable price, that will finally find their way into general cultivation. The three Super-Giant Trumpet varieties offered on this page belong to this strong- growing class, and although of compara- tively recent introduction are now offered at prices which must be considered very low for such high-grade sorts. Glory of Leiden. This grand variety has been well and deservedly named the 'King of Daffodils,' being one of the most massive of the Giant Trumpet varieties. The large trumpet is full, rich yellow, perianth pale yellow with occasional deeper yellow markings. Un- like many floral aristocrats it is of strong, vigorous habit and of the easiest culture, being just as much at home when grown in pots indoors as it is in the open ground. You cannot be con- sidered to have a good collection of Narcissus without Glory of Leiden. 12 cts. each; $ per doz.; $ per 100. Super-Giant Trumpet Narcissus, Olymfia Olympia. This remarkably fine Daffodil might briefly be described as a greatly improved Emperor, being much larger in size and of a richer deeper color. It is a won- derfully strong grower with fine broad blue-green foliage, and its bold majestic yet artistic flowers are produced very freely. This is surely one of the coming Daffodils both for growing in pots indoors and for outdoor cultivation. 25 cts. each; $2
