When Climax baskets are used as commercial peach packages,a system of packing is adopted that accords with the size of the fruit. If the 00^. peaches are smallthree are placed sideby side across thebasket, as shown inFig. 17 (a), enoughlayers being used tofill the basket. If thefruit is too large tobe arranged in threetiers, two tiers areplaced along one sideto make the firstlayer, as shown in (b); the second double row is placed alongthe opposite side of the basket, as shown in (c); the layers arethus alternated until the basket is full.
