Bridge Road in Woolston is shut between Radstock Road and Victoria Road following the incident, which happened at about Motorists are being told to avoid the area while the road is closed and bus services are being diverted. Shocked witnesses said that medics worked to resuscitate the woman before she was taken to hospital in an ambulance. A spokeswoman for Hampshire police said: “Police are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on Bridge Road, Woolston. “We were called to the scene at to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian. “A female pedestrian has been taken to Southampton General Hospital in a life-threatening condition. “The road is currently closed and we would like to thank motorists for their patience as we deal with this incident." @UKNIP
