Orion in the night sky over mountains in China. The distinctive row of three stars in Orion's Belt is at upper centre. Also shown here in this deep exposure are the nebulae (red), including Barnard's Loop (Sh 2-276), passing below Orion's Belt. At centre left is the Rosette Nebula (Caldwell 49). The bright star at lower centre near the horizon is the star Canis Major. On the horizon is the light pollution from the city of Chengdu, China. Photographed on 21 September 2014.
