Saxony: A helmet for troopers, of the Leibkürassier guard regiment, 1810 pattern. Comb of pressed brass, with crouching lions on each side. A crowned cypher "FA" on the frontpiece of the comb. The brass bowl is manufactured in two halves and has some ancient repairs to fissures. The encircling red velvet band is original(?), the leather visor is covered with the same material. There is no neck guard. The rear quarter of the encircling brass band is missing. The crest of black wool, chinscales and plume holder are replacements, the leather lining is original. A ,
