The Air Force Outstanding Civil Engineer Manager of the Year Award was presented to Janelle Priest, facilities maintenance manager, 155th Civil Engineer Squadron on June 3, 2022, at the Lincoln air base, Nebraska. Janelle has been a civilian employee with the NEANG for 25 years, supervising eight craftsmen. Her contributions to the organization are many, but overcoming massive manpower reduction and still maintaining high levels of service to the base customers. Janelle is extremely committed to this organization despite a 37% state manning shortfall, she was able to research and lobby


The Air Force Outstanding Civil Engineer Manager of the Year Award was presented to Janelle Priest, facilities maintenance manager, 155th Civil Engineer Squadron on June 3, 2022, at the Lincoln air base, Nebraska. Janelle has been a civilian employee with the NEANG for 25 years, supervising eight craftsmen. Her contributions to the organization are many, but overcoming massive manpower reduction and still maintaining high levels of service to the base customers. Janelle is extremely committed to this organization despite a 37% state manning shortfall, she was able to research and lobby for a 20% raise in several maintenance craftsmen's wages to aid with recruitment and retention. She was instrumental in making three outstanding state hires, developing a training and safety program, and then strategically implementing their output to best serve the installation’s 26 facilities, and 134 acres of property.
