The Chinese Bridge is a landmark of our town and has stood since 1827. The bridge is now in its forth generation. Originally designed and constructed by an Irish Architect chinese-bridge-newspaper-cuttingby the name of James Gallier, rebuilt in the 1860s and again rebuilt in 1960 with a replica by Brudenall Ltd of Godmanchester for the sum of £1,580, on behalf of the council
