A five-piece coffee service, Popov Porcelain Manufactory, Moscow, circa 1830/40 Porcelain, with a white and chestnut brown glaze, hand-painted, and gilt. Five cups with saucers, and an additional sixth saucer with a glued break. Each bears the underglaze blue factory mark "AP" and a brown overglaze "No=1" on the bottom. Heights of the cups cm. Diameter of the saucers 13 cm. The porcelain factory founded by Alexander Popov at the beginning of the 19th century rapidly became the best known in Russia.
