In the Egg Auction of Barneveld a protest meeting was held Thursday afternoon against the particularly low egg prices. The meeting, convened by the Protestant Christian Organization of Poultry Farmers and intended as a major demonstration, became a complete fiasco. Firstly, the turnout was particularly poor, and secondly, the chairman of the Peasant Party, farmer Cuckoo, attracted more interest than the secretary of the PCOP.
