The real beginning of Redlandsdates from March 10, 1887, when thetown plat was filed. Here then was ahamlet comprising the usual brickblock, a few score small dwellings,. THK UNIVERSITY CLUB one or two stores, and perhaps 100 acresof newly planted orange trees. Fromthat date to this, Redlands has nevertaken a backward step, but has madesteady, substantial and permanentprogress. With nothing of the boomnature in the gradual, healthy growthof the past years, today it bears the en-viable reputation of the best interior REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA
