A bronze statue of the North Dakota, Democratic political leader John Burke which is located on the state capitol grounds in Bismarck, North Dakota. John Burke was Governor of North Dakota from 1907-1913. In 1913 he was appointed treasurer of the United States by President Woodrow Wilson and served until 1921. In 1924 he was elected as a justice to the Supreme Court of North Dakota, serving as chief justice from 1929 to 1931 and from 1935 to 1937. The 1962 sculpture was created by the American sculptor Avard Tennyson Fairbanks.
